Leatherette cover
The best surface for embossing: the logo sinks into the material and you can feel it. No colour is added — shape and shadow do the work. Usually the pick for a client-facing gift.
Notebooks
Hardcover notebooks and planners carrying your company logo. Embossing or print, chosen to suit the cover material.
With a notebook, the cover is what people look at first. It sets both the branding method and the overall impression.

Softer and more contemporary. Takes either embossing or print, though the weave swallows fine detail a little — a simple mark comes out better.

A notebook is almost always handed over with a pen. Embossing on one, engraving on the other, the same logo on both — the set reads as a whole.
Branding
Two methods work on a notebook, and they give fundamentally different results.

A heated die presses into the cover and leaves the shape of the logo. No colour — only relief and shadow. The most premium finish, but small text and thin lines disappear, so the mark has to be simple.

Full colour and fine detail. If your logo has several colours or needs a specific shade, this is the one. More immediately visible than embossing.
Laser engraving does not normally go on a notebook cover — it is for metal and hard materials. Where a set includes a metal pen, the engraving goes there.
Quantity, format (A5 or A6), budget and deadline.
Several material options. In the showroom you can handle them and see how embossing sits.
We show how the logo lands on the cover. For embossing, the die is cut from that mockup.

Cost
A notebook has four inputs. If you are comparing, these are the questions to ask.
An embossing die is made once and its cost does not scale with the run. On a small order it adds noticeably to the per-unit price; on a large one it all but disappears.
Leatherette, fabric and board are three different prices. The widest spread comes from here.
Embossing carries a die cost, after which each unit is cheap. UV printing has no die, but the number of colours moves the price.
Page count, paper weight and whether there is a calendar. A dated planner costs more than a plain notebook.
Quantity, format and which cover interests you are enough for a real figure.
Prices are per unit and fall with quantity. For a firm figure, tell us the quantity and the model.
Questions
It depends on the job. Embossing is quieter and reads as more expensive, but there is no colour and fine detail is lost. Print is more visible and reproduces the logo in its own colours. If your mark is multi-colour, print makes more sense.
We will tell you at the mockup stage. Thin lines and small text are lost in relief; in those cases we suggest a simplified version of the mark, or move to print.
Yes — contacts or a calendar can go on the first page. That is agreed at the mockup stage too.
A5 by a distance — it works on a desk and in a bag. A6 is chosen for events and larger runs.
Better that way: one packaging job, and the set looks whole. Embossing on the notebook, engraving on the pen, the same logo on both.
